Construction Coordinator

Responsibility: The Construction Coordinator will be primarily responsible for conducting assessments on homes for health, safety, and other hazards and coordinating rehab work based on the assessments. Construction Coordinator will also work with partner agencies on HUD grant programs for rehabilitation of homes and assist with Weatherization program as needed.   Major Duties: Conduct all assigned home assessments and complete associated forms, data entry, and grant requirements. Complete work orders for work indicated by the assessments to include materials required, measures indicated and any other contract specifications. Supervise work of crews and/or contractors and job site monitoring checks and provide technical assistance when needed. Coordinate efforts between partner agencies and Western South Dakota Community Action and between programs to ensure coherence in work scope and planning. Attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned. Track and maintain CEUs as required by certifications and license. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: 4 years related education and 2 years experience; OR 2 years related education plus 4 years experience; OR any combination. Experience in construction trades, project management. 1+ year supervisory/managerial experience   Valid South Dakota driver’s license with no major violations within the past three (3) years. Work environment will be in private homes. Job will require frequent walking, climbing, reaching, sitting, pushing, kneeling and lifting up to 50lb.  Above average oral, reading and writing skills to accurately operate a computer, perform necessary documentation and effectively communicate with staff, clients, and colleagues. Energy Auditor

Responsibility: The Energy Auditor will be responsible for completion of all weatherization activities on assigned homes based on Department of Energy standards. Major Duties: Conduct all assigned energy audits and complete associated forms, data entry, and ASHRAE requirements. Complete work orders for work indicated by the audit assessments to include materials required, measures indicated and any other contract specifications. Complete or request Historical Preservation reviews on appropriate homes. Conduct training of contractors and job site monitoring checks and provide technical assistance when needed. Attend staff meetings and trainings as assigned. Track and maintain CEUs as required by certifications and licenses. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: 4 years related education; OR 2 years related education plus 2 years' experience; OR any combination. Valid South Dakota driver’s license with no major violations within the past three (3) years. Crew Lead

Responsibility: Supervise and train as necessary a weatherization crew capable of installing materials in a satisfactory manner. Major Duties: Supervise all aspects of the work done by the crew. Providing guidance and training in all aspects of the technical work to bring all work to required standards Complete required file documentation. Supervise the crew in terms of all other job-related time spent on the job including the compilation and submission of accurate time sheets in a timely manner and complete training documentation as required. Attend seminars, workshops, conference and/or other job-related training sessions assigned. Track and maintain CEUs as required by certifications and licenses. Communicate with supervisor any problems, client complaints, issues at the worksite and or complications requiring additional time on jobs. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications: 2-year degree in related field plus four (4) years related experience; OR High School diploma or GED plus six (6) years related experience; OR any combination of the above. Valid South Dakota driver’s license with no major violations within the past three (3) years. Weatherization or blown in insulation experience preferred. Ability to lift 40lbs, stand/walk for long periods and bending and crouching in small areas. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20 - $22 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: Dental Insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday Work Location: In person, working on homes in Rapid City and surrounding communities.
